Welcome to SITT
We are a non-profit sports social club serving the Evansville, IN and surrounding area. We have approximately 180 members coming from all levels of experience and performance. Our mission is to promote the sport of triathlon through mentoring of people new to the sport of triathlon, through networking, coaching, encouragement, and comradery.
Members have access to the following:
- · Open water swim practices at 2 lakes located in the area surrounding Evansville, IN.
- · Cycling group rides.
- · Group Runs (Trail and Paved)
- · Team Sponsored Practice Triathlons
- · Access to fellow athletes for support and comradery.
- Team Discounts, Identity, and Uniforms
Safety:
- When possible, the Team has an AED for placement at waterside of open water swims.
- Open Water Swim certification is conducted annually to ensure members have the ability to safely swim the distance of our open water practices.
- Supplemental injury coverage through USAT.
- Hosts for open water swim and cycling practices to ensure weather impacts are considered before beginning.
Process for joining and participating:

- Select and pay the membership dues for the current year.
- Agree to the liability waiver.
- Connect with us on Facebook. Group: Southern Indiana Triathlon Team
- Download the Wild Apricot User App and connect to SITT.
- Get open water swim certified.
- Show up to scheduled practices with an open mind and a desire to push yourself to the limits!
- Sign up to volunteer at SITT events or serve on the SITT board!
